School Council

The School Council has the major responsibility for deciding the educational policy and vision of the school. The most effective education programs depend upon negotiation and consultation, so that the policies adopted will reflect the values and goals of the school community. Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance and improvement of buildings and grounds facilities.
  • Ensuring that all monies are spent for their proper purpose.
  • Arranging documentation for the annual finance audit.
  • Stimulating parental and community interest in the school.

The School Council currently has 5 main sub-committees to assist with Council duties. These are composed of School Council members and co-opted people either parents or staff. These sub-committees meet monthly and present recommendations to the School Council.
