Victoria.<\/p><p>Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.<\/p><p>Our school manages enrolments using the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.education.vic.gov.au\/pal\/enrolment\/guidance\/placement-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Placement Policy<\/a>\u00a0to ensure that students have class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To help manage enrolments, Fitzroy Primary School has been provided with and Enrolment Management Plan which restricts enrolment at the school.<\/p><p>All children have the right to attend their designated neighbourhood school (known as their local school). You can also apply to a school that is not your local school, however, enrolment is not guaranteed.<\/p><p>As a result of this plan and in line with the Department of Education <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.education.vic.gov.au\/pal\/enrolment\/guidance\/placement-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Placement Policy<\/a>, Fitzroy Primary School enrols students if:<\/p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>they live in our school zone, or<\/li><li>they have a sibling attending the school, or<\/li><li>they are seeking enrolment on legitimate compassionate grounds.<\/li><\/ul><div><p>The priority order of placement for out-of-zone enrolments is:<\/p><ul><li>students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time.<\/li><li>all other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><p>These criteria apply to all enrolments, including transfers and enrolments on appeal.<\/p><p>Applications on compassionate grounds are considered on a case-by-case basis.
