The transition from Kinder-Foundation and Grade 6-Grade 7 is an exciting and important time for all children.
Our Kindergarten to Foundation Transition Program involves a variety of opportunities for parents to learn more about the programs we offer at Fitzroy Primary School. Pre-school children will also be invited to a series of visits to school in order to get to know the Foundation teachers, school routine and each other as part of our program.
Our well-designed transition program aims to support our Year 6 students in this process so that they can maintain the strong sense of belonging that students felt in primary school – so important if they are to continue to enjoy and succeed in academic tasks.
