School Council

Our School Council provide an important conduit for the school to engage meaningfully with our community, parents, staff and students.

Parents and community members are encouraged and welcomed to participate on school council. It is a great way to be involved in developing the long-term direction of the school.

All school councils in Victoria operate under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Each school council is established by an Order of the Minister for Education, which specifies the council’s membership, size and configuration, its objectives, powers, functions and accountabilities and the role of its executive officer who is the Principal. The school council has particular functions in setting and monitoring the school’s direction.

School Council meets twice per school term. It is composed of elected representatives from parents, teachers and community members and is supported by the subcommittees.
